Boucher's Discontent Yields Trade Rumours

Despite recent reports that the Shockers solidified their line-up last week, there is a wind of change in team's dressing room as of late. Marc Boucher, the defensive slap shot powerhouse, has brought up his discontent with his contract and direction of the team to team management. He has even gone as far as asking to be traded. Management will need to act quick as the season is right around the corner as well as the jersey presentation ceremony in just days, it will be interesting to see whether Boucher will make an appearance or not.

When Boucher was asked about his discontent with the team, he replied, "I have no problem with the guys on the team but when I see [Maxime] Lapierre signing with the Montreal Canadiens for $1.375 million over two seasons, I begin to wonder where my money is."

Boucher was reminded that the Shockers are an expansion team making its debut in the NABHL and not the NHL, he simply replied, "hockey is hockey, le gros."

"Boucher is a good kid but he has to realize that he has to prove himself first to make the big bucks," said Bob Gainey, GM for the Montreal Canadiens, when asked about his recent signing of Lapierre compared to Boucher's signing to the Shockers. "Not to rag on him and his organization but, we're talking about the NHL ice hockey...not NABHL ball hockey," added Gainey.

Since going public about his discontent yesterday, Boucher had been approached by the rival sex-referenced team, the Camel Toes. If Boucher agrees to the trade, which details yet to be released, the Shockers would pick-up a 12-pack of Mylec balls and a Sponge Bob Square Pants carrying bag in return.

"It will not be nice to see him go, but 12 balls sounds good nonetheless," stated team captain, Alain Godard.

"It will be a different team with him gone, that's for true," added defensive partner, Francois Hamelin, who did not specify if that statement was positive of negative.

The Shockers have been grounded for the past three weeks due to lack of practice venues and that might be part of Boucher's recent change of heart.

"I just want to play, these guys don't want to practice, then I don't play and then I get sad," Boucher said regarding the recent lack of practices.

The team meeting and jersey presentation ceremony takes place on Thursday at the Hamelin-Godard residence regardless of Boucher's presence or not, only time will tell what he will make of his future.
